The application of stereology in hepatobiliary conditions is essential liver volume estimation. Computerized topographic scan with contrast a reliable method scanning for precise boundaries demarcation. Liver volumetry varies relation to different factors. Reports showed correlation sex and body mass index. Steady between age ethnicity not established. This study aimed design protocol measurement apply it the estimation among Sudanese population use stereology. Recruitment was obtained royal clinic Khartoum by making an announcement participation study. Patients history diseases were excluded. CT abdomen DICOM format transferred computer-based software image analysis. A designed validated then applied using MRIcro display, ImageJ estimation, Onis 2.6 as viewer. 300 apparently healthy volunteers recruited. reliability result 0.805. Absolute mean 3261.32 ± 1365.313 cm3. High females detected than males. positive index (p-value 0.001) regardless sex. Relation rough steady rise till 50 years started decline steadily. relationship More studies are needed investigate groups.
